It has been simply forever since I've posted anything. Years in fact! But this past week, I started a new blog. I would love to have all of my old friends on blogstream come over and sign up to follow by email. The girls have grown so much and are just as wonderful and joyful as ever. This was a random temperate day. It was in the 70'. I think this may be the norm for this summer. I'm pretty sure that we're not going to put the pool up this year. It's just too darn cold at night with temps in the 40's . But when we do get these days, we certainly take full advantage.

Now for our big news. Both girlies got their ears pierced!! I've been hoping they'd do it and wishing I'd done it when they were babies. It was Tara's idea. She really wanted it done, but only if it didn't hurt. Well, when I went through the fertility process, I used to use something called "Emla Cream". I'd put in on the injection site and leave it for a while. It would numb the spot and make the multitude of injections more tolerable. I called the girlies pediatrician and asked her if she'd perscribe it for the ear piercing and she did without hesitation. Here's the result. The anticipation was just absolutely unberable but there was not a single tear shed .

In the above scrapbook layout, it was the day following the ear piercing. They look precious to me. I love the earings, and so do the girlies.

 

...but school's almost out and hopefully I'll have some more time. But here's a quick layout that I just finished. I went to the Zoo with girlies a few days ago. The weather was perfect. Not too hot, so the animals were out and about for the most part. But I need to add that this weather we've been having has been ridiculously COLD for this time of year! I'm quite sick of it. Here's a shot of the girlies and I in the butterfly house. I'll post more from the zoo soon.
