Yesterday was a beautiful day. The wind was calm, and we FINALLY got into the mid 70's!!! In the evening, the girlies and I went outside to play with their new bubble wand. What is it with kids and bubbles? They just LOVE them!

She just turned 2 earlier this month. She is still barely talking. I have been using baby signs with her since she was about 10 months old. My concern for her language development prompted me to express them to her pediatrician at her 2 year check-up. Her doctor agreed that she should be further along. I had some specialists come to our home today to perform a speech evaluation. The specialist called me back shortly after she left and confirmed what I already knew. She said that Madeline's speech is at 16 to 18 months. Not terribly delayed, but now we know, and the specialists of "early on" will develop a home program for us so we can work with our baby. She'll come out on a regular basis to measure her progress and also advance the home program we will be doing with Madeline. She is speech delayed...I'm glad I found out now. I can't wait to have a conversation with her.

The picture of the red barn was taken this morning. It is down the road from me. The picture really does not quite relay how huge this barn is. It is quite spectacular. I love it. The second one, I shot yesterday evening on my way home from the grocery store. It's a bit more weathered, but pretty still the same.

I was inspired to create this after I took the picture of my perennial geranium. I like the baby geranium .

We had lots of fun outside today. I know I'm the mom, and I'm supposed to be biased, but my oh my, I think my girlies are beautiful!!
