 Happy Thanksgiving!!

...and hello winter??   It's currently 23.9 degrees.  Ouch!..I mean brrrrrr. We got our first snowfall that actually was enough to play in. From snowball fights to snow angels, making a snow man to sledding, the girlies sure did have fun with daddy today before we went to my sister Cindy's for our Thanksgiving feast. There will be another post to follow "soon" about that. It was a WONDERFUL dinner!! Thanks Cindy

When we were saying our bedtime prayers I asked Madeline first.."What are you most thankful for?"  "I'm most tankful fowa Tayawa" (translation: I'm most thankful for Tara). Then she wrapped her arms around her sissy.   And of course when the question was posed to Tara, her response? "I'm thankful for Madeline".  Followed by another lovey hug.  Now that's just how I want it to be!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!  Know God..be blessed.

 "Saw..see"

When both Tara and Madeline were babies, I went through many cloth diapers per day as spit up rags. Both of my children bonded to their "blankies". Yes..it is cloth diapers that they choose to bond with. Now of the PILE that each of them own, they both have one favorite each. They both call their favorite "softie". Softie is the softest blanket in each of their separate piles. Madeline's pronunciation of hers however is "saw..see". Yesterday, I washed all of her blankies including her "sawsee". When the dryer buzzed, I excitedly told her.."Oh! You're blankies are done!". She flew like a bullet to the laundry room (now this child flits around like a woodland fairy!). One by one I pulled out all of her blankies to hand them to her (purposely avoiding softie). When I finally did pull her out, she dropped the rest and ran to the family room to re-bond with her fresh clean smelling softie. Here's how it went...

And doesn't this picture just say it all??....."Sawsee". Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

 Sisters...

Not too long ago, Tara and Madeline were walking hand in hand at the grocery store. I stopped my shopping and got down at their level. I took their joined hands in my hand and said..."Do you know what it means when people see you two holding hands?" "No." Said Tara. "Well, it's something very special." Her eyes lit up. "Do you want to know?" I asked? "Yes!" she responded with great enthusiasm. "It means that you two have a friend for the rest of your lives. Someone who will always be there. When you hold hands like this. It shows the whole world how lucky you are to have a friend forever". "Wow". Tara said looking at her baby sister with pure unconditional love.

They sure do love each other. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

 The girl thing...

I can never adequately relay how happy I am to have girls. Not that a boy would be bad or anything, but a boy is just..."not a girl". Just look at her... Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Those eyes!!!  Bless her baby heart, she did NOT want to do this photo shoot for me. She's feeling terribly sick still. But really.  What a beauty. And then there is the hair. I so love to make their hair all pretty. There isn't a day that goes by that my girls don't have their hair done up...

And the clothes. Girl clothes. So fun! I love the crazy tights. My girls both own tons of these crazy tights. Lots of skirts and jumpers too. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Aren't they fun?? I love having girls. God really knew what he was doing when he answered my prayers for girls. Poor baby Madeline. I couldn't even get her to give me a single tiny smile.

But I wouldn't let up. I relentlessly pushed her...trying to get just ONE smile. Finally I reduced her to this...

....and called it a shoot.
