I took a drive tonight with the girlies and we found some more pretty lights. It is just hilarious with Madeline sitting in the back seat. She gets sooooooo excited when she sees "any" lights be it bad or good, and yells out "weeeeeeeww". Oh to see the world all fresh and new like a child does . The previous post is still my favorite house though. The picture does not do it justice. It looks like a gingerbread house to me.

I woke up two days ago to a bitter 15 degrees. Ever wonder what that looks like? Well please....allow me to share.

When the suns first rays touched the new blanket of snow, it transformed it to a beautiful hue of sparkling pink. It reminded of the many sunsets I've seen in which the clouds share this same color.

And then we have our "snow flowers". I don't trim my perennial garden back in the fall. They make for pretty flowers in the winter as you can see.

And just a lovely side note....It is 8 degrees this morning .  We are going to "Christmas In The Village" tonight.  It's going to be filled with old fashioned CHRISTmas fun including horse drawn trolly rides, storytelling, a live nativity, a visit from Saint Nicholas, live music, and tree lighting ceremony among other things.  I'll post the pictures as soon as I can.  I have been struggling with a terrible sinus infection.  I finally went to the doctor and got an antibiotic yesterday.  I hope I feel better for tonight but judging by the size of my head ache this morning, I think that is wishful thinking.

We actually got to see some sunshine today for the first time in a very long time. The lighting was pretty, so I set up the tripod and set the timer on my camera and the girlies were just so sweet in this picture of mommy with her babies.

After we pulled off this shot, it was off to see the "big guy". When we pulled up, I was so surprised to see my niece and her precious baby Scarlet there to see him too. All three girls were happy to see each other.

Santa was amazing. He was so wonderful with the children and he clearly LOVED what he was doing.

Tara made Santa a picture. It was a summer picture since he lives in the North Pole. She drew him a picture of the beach we went to all summer and he took the time to let her explain it all to him. He loved her picture and Tara signed it "To Santa....Love Tara". It was very sweet.

And then we have Scarlet. She wanted NOTHING to do with Santa this year (or last!). This Santa however was special. He shook her hand and told her how happy he was to meet her. She smiled so big. Then she actually got on his lap and smiled even bigger for the camera. He was the best!!

But that wasn't all. What kind of Santa experience would it be without some reindeer??

I had so much fun with my children today.  Motherhood is the best!!
