Imagine It

 A few pictures from today

This little lake (more like a large pond) is on state land across the road that my street is off of. It's not great for fishing, and most of the summer, it has a green cover of algae across the top of the water. Today however, I was driving to a family function when I spotted 2 white swans WAY on the opposite side of the water. I have never seen a swan in the lake ever, so of course, I had to stop and snap a picture of them. They're not close up, but they were far from me. Then my eye saw two more beautiful shots and here they are.

 I just can't stop!!

Fall this year is just amazing. I have taken so many pictures, and I can't help but share the beauty.  With all of the glory that has been set before us this season, Tara gets it.  She is an aspiring young artist.  She LOVES to draw, color and paint.  She said to me today while we were out exploring, "Mommy, do you think that when I go to heaven Jesus will let me help him paint the leaves?"  I told her I was certain he would.

 Drenched in color...

The girlies and I went for a nature walk today to pick leaves. The weather is sunny and crisp. The colors are beautiful still, and they love to explore.

I love these shelf mushrooms that Tara found on this tree.  They were so cool with their green coloring laced throughout.

Yesterday, we took these pictures when we went to the grocery store.

I spotted the elk, and they were very uneasy of me.  They ran away before I could get more pictures.

 More fall spectacular

The first three are pictures around my house. The rest are pictures around town.  Fall is so fleeting.  The colors have progressed so rapidly and soon it will be over.

 The Great White Hunter...

...Is not so great after all. Deer hunting season began October 1st. It seems that during "target practice" yesterday, he kind of missed the bull's-eye and hit the wheel of the lawn mower after the arrow ricocheted off the lawn "tractor". Woo Hoo Mr. Hee man. Oh, and in case you were wondering, this was a shot made by my husband Ron. What a proud wife I am...
