Imagine It

Let me take you for a walk...

...Around my yard...

We planted pumpkins this year. Yesterday, we went out to pick them. My camera battery died on me and I was only able to get this one shot.

 Fall through my eyes....

Fall in Michigan is beautiful, no question about it.  It is one of my more favored seasons, but it is laced with bittersweet pleasure.  With the full brilliance of fall, comes the reality that winter is nipping at our heels.  Winter is my least favorite season.  Now however, Cider Mills are busy pressing apples, making pies, donuts, carmel apples and apple dumplings.  The mood of the State changes.  Festivals are abundant and it's time to throw on sweaters.  Here's my corner of the world...fall in Michigan.

When Autumn comes and goes, we experience the life and death of our leaves.  So incredibly lush are the leaves in the summer, but during fall they transform into the most beautiful, vibrant colors.  Every colored tree complimenting its neighbor.  Why don't they just turn brown and shrivel up to die?  Because God in all of His infinite wisdom is also the most breathtaking, astounding, accomplished artist in this entire universe.  And for His pleasure, He has painted fall.  And for His love for us, He shares it.  Thank you Lord.

 Another Fairie Photo Shoot

I shot these pictures last Sunday. The sun was a bit more diffused so the lighting and color were better.

 Heavenly Bodies...

From a red sky at night.....

To a most beautiful celestial treat...The moon was not present, and this was my first attempt to photograph the stars, so vast and endless.  I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Psalms 113  ---   3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised. 4 The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, 6 who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? 7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; 8 he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people. 9 He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord.

God is so big, that he stoops down to gaze upon the heavens that seem so huge and limitless to us.  He is so big, yet he is responsible for the tiniest micro-organism, in all of it's complexity.  All of this taken into consideration.....and he still hears me when I pray.  Through all of my fertility struggles, he answered my prayer and blessed me a "happy mother of children".  Praise the Lord!
