Imagine It

His majesty...Or shall I say the majesty of "Him".

Water droplets become shimmering jewels, no less beautiful than diamonds when the light hits them just so.  When I zoom in on His tiniest of details, God becomes larger than life.

 First Prize Photo!!

Remember this photo? Last week, I entered it into a photo contest here in MI. For the past 8 weeks, they have been picking weekly winners in the following categories: Landscapes & Nature, Landmarks & Buildings, and People Having Fun. I entered pictures into each category, but this one won 1st place under the category "People having Fun". I won a digital camera (Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ1), and several gift certificates. My picture was in the newspaper (although there were 3 winners for the week, they only printed mine!!) and on the local news. I am now eligible for the Grand Prize or Runner up positions as they will pick these from all the winners of the past 8 weeks. These will be choosen next week.

The three finalists who are not selected for the grand prize will receive a $1200 gift certificate to the Violet Residence at Mackinac Island and a Nikon CoolPix L4 Digital Camera from Ritz Camera.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a $1200 gift certificate to the Violet Residence at Mackinac Island, a chance to spend a half day with a photojournalist and a $2000 photography package.

This is the first time I've ever entered a photo contest and I took first place!! Woo Hoo!!!!

 Hibiscus Tree

Without flowers, the bees could not survive. Without bees, the flowers could not survive. Just one tiny twig in the enormity of harmony which God has created on this very complex and diverse planet.  Intelligent Design?...that's putting it mildly.

 She has a broken wing....

....Which did not slow her down at all.   Tattered and torn, most likely at the end of her life, she did what was instinctual...continue to survive.

Last year, the girlies and I raised caterpillars which completed their metamorphosis into "painted lady" butterflies.  It was an amazing miracle to witness.  When they are first born out of the chrysalides, they cling to something while their wings expand and harden.  Then, while this happens, extra color drips off the wings leaving bright stains behind.  They live for only 2 to 4 weeks after they complete their metamorphosis.
