This farm is across the street from the enterance to the beach we go to. It's so pretty. I took this picture on the 4th of July.

Down the road from me is this totally enchanting out building. I stopped in today, and spoke to the owners. Apparently, it used to be a chicken coop, and is over 100 years old. It is so whimsical!

I love this time of year, when you can drive the country roads and find soft rolling fields filled with freshly cut hay.

It was a beautiful day. Bright sunshine and not a drop of rain. We had been praying for 2 weeks for God to keep the rain out of the mix. *Thank you Lord for yet another answered prayer*.



Tara had a great time as did all the kids. When the kids first arrived, they all got a cowboy hat filled with all kinds of goodies. Then they decorated a "loot" bag with cowpoke and cowgirl stickers. After that, the games began with a donut eating contest. No hands were allowed, and the first one finished was the winner.


Next we had an old fashioned sack race with vintage style burlap sacks.



After that, the Cowpokes and Cowgirls played a game called "stomp the flies", as horses do all the time. They each had a black balloon tied to their ankle, and had to run around and stomp each others flies. It was funny to watch.


And of course it wouldn't be a party without a cowboy boot Piñata loaded with all kinds of yummy loot.



Finally, everyone filled their bellies with some grub, and it was on to cake, ice-cream and presents.



Tara said she LOVED her special day which means I did good.

She is so photogenic. She is so beautiful. I am so blessed.

Tara's big 5 year birthday party was yesterday. It was soooooo much fun. I'll be posting a BUNCH of those pictures soon. There are so many to weed through.
